On May 21, 880 students - the largest class in school history - graduated from William Mason High School during the school's 131st commencement ceremony held at the Cintas Center.
The Class of 2017 was one of the most successful in Mason history. Eighty-seven percent of the class will attend college in the fall, and more than 326 students received over $16.3 million in academic, arts and/or athletic scholarships and awards. There were 22 National Merit Finalists, 34 National Merit Commended Scholars, 3 Hispanic Recognition Program Scholars, 315 summa cum laude graduates, 96 magna cum laude graduates, 85 cum laude graduates, and 413 students who received Ohio’s Honors Diploma.

Tim King was chosen by the Class of 2017 to deliver the Faculty Address. His inspiring remarks reminded students that "Love" is spelled T-I-M-E.

The Mason High School Wind Symphony led the processional and played “October,” a senior choral ensemble sang “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)”, and a senior orchestra ensemble played “Best Day of My Life.”
