Saputra and MinTwo Mason High School students spent their spring break in New York City performing at the prestigious Carnegie Hall on Sunday, March 26.

MHS junior Natasha Saputra and sophomore Faith Min are both pianists who were invited after winning first and second place at the International Competition of Romantic Music. This was Saputra's seventh performance at Carnegie Hall, and was Min's debut.

"It was a great experience for us because we had the opportunity to meet with other young musicians from all over the world, like China, South Korea, and Bulgaria. Even though all of us speak different languages and come from different culture, we all have one thing in common, we all love music." explained Saputra.

Both girls take piano lesson at the UC College-Conservatory of Music in the Preparatory Department. CCM Preparatory offers a wide variety of programs in Music, Dance and Theatre Arts for all ages and levels – toddlers, preschoolers, youth, teens, adults, motivated pre-professional students preparing for a future in the performing arts and arts enthusiasts of all ages.

"It was such a wonderful experience for the girls. They met a lot of young musicians from all over the world," shared Natasha's mother Maya Tedjarahadi.

"We are always thankful for Mason City School's continued support for the students, not only academically, but also for extracurriculars. We actually turned down a scholarship offer from a private school to continue sending Natasha to MHS because of the music program. Thank you for all the support!"
