Mason High School senior Lauren Fournier's work Blue was chosen to be displayed in the 47th annual Ohio Governor's Youth Art Exhibition, which opens at the James A. Rhodes State Office Tower in Columbus from April until the end of May.

"This is such good news!" shared MHS teacher and National Board Certified Art Educator Tina Roberts. "Lauren completed the piece Blue last year in Aaron Robert's DID II class."

According to the website, the Ohio Governor's Youth Art Exhibition is dedicated to the educational and artistic advancement of talented young people in the state of Ohio. From the 11,500 regional entries, approximately 2,500 are selected to enter the state judging. State jurors then select 300 pieces for the actual exhibitions, and seniors are potentially able to earn scholarships from more than 30 universities and colleges of art.
