MHS Junior Raises Money for Cancer Free KidsMason High School junior Maddie Meibers has been raising money for Cancer Free Kids in honor of her neighbor and MHS senior, Joe Koenig.

Meibers has raised more than $1,800 by herself, while her team has raised more than $3,000.

Meibers will continue raising funds, and the spirits of young people fighting cancer, at swim meets, and will also be raffling off beautiful painting that were created and donated by a nonverbal autistic young lady who expresses her words through pictures. 

"Cancer Free Kids is such a great way to raise money for pediatric cancer research, and I love that I can do it in honor of Joe Koenig," shared Meibers. "I believe that each of us can make a difference and this is one way I feel I can hopefully make a difference in helping find a cure for cancer!'
