Loewe Named Kiwanis February Student of the MonthMason High School senior Jordan Loewe was recognized as The Kiwanis Club of Mason's February Student of the Month. Loewe was nominated by
MHS Business teacher
 Jennifer Striker.

“I have never been more excited to nominate an individual for Student of the Month as I am to nominate Jordan Loewe. Her academics alone make her worthy of being recognized as Student of the Month, but it’s her spirit, attitude, and kind acts of service for others that stand out to me," shared Striker. "Jordan is an exceptional student who sets high standard for herself when it comes to her academic performance. She has a strong willingness to learn and a firm conscientious nature when it comes to achieving her personal best."

"After completing the course work for Financial Literacy and Banking & Investing, Jordan was asked to apply for an internship position within our school bank, Comet Savings & Loan. Jordan was 1 of 48 students, out of approximately 3500 students, to earn a position at CS&L," added Striker.

She was the CS&L Marketing Vice President during the 2018-19 school year, and collaborated with the High School's Art Department for the annual CS&L Art Auction. The funds raised through the joint effort will be donated to the Pink Ribbon Girls.

Jordan is also involved in Student Government and is the acting Senior Class Secretary, as well as a member of the National Honor Society, SIBS, and will be helping to plan the Prom Fashion Show. This past fall, she was the committee chairperson for planning the Homecoming Pep Rally, and last month, Jordan was in charge of the Sadie Hawkins Dance. She plans to attend the University of Cincinnati next year and study Business.

On February 14, the Kiwanis Club presented Loewe with $100, a Kiwanis bell, and a certificate commemorating her achievement. Jordan's parents, Mike and Angie Loewe, assistant principal Amy Hull, and nominator
Striker
joined the Kiwanians in recognizing Jordan's accomplishments. The Mason Kiwanis Club meets weekly at noon at the Houston Restaurant in Mason.
