Berry Named Kiwanis Feb. Student of the Month
Mason High School senior Tori Berry was recognized as The Kiwanis Club of Mason's February Student of the Month. Berry was nominated by MHS Language Arts teacher Stephanie Nally.
"Tori Berry is an outstanding and honest young woman. She has been a member of Mason High School’s Student Government for the past four years, and I have had the pleasure of being her advisor during her time with this organization." shared Nally. "Tori was elected as a Class Officer her freshman and sophomore years and a Student Body Officer her junior and senior years at MHS. She is our current Student Body President. Not only does she lead with integrity and dedication, she is also a positive presence during all meetings and activities; a presences that the younger students look up to for guidance and model behavior. She inspires her peers with her thoughtful actions and her intrinsic motivation."
"Never have I met a student who is able to make the tough decisions with adult-like maturity and grace, but also be full of graciousness with her peers. She is wise beyond her years. Her mature attitude and healthy outlook on life helps her to maintain a realistic balance between her personal life, her extracurricular activities, and her academic studies. Tori is incredibly dependable and has a trustworthy quality about her that sets her apart from other students."
A National Merit Finalist, Berry plans to study International Business at Belmont College.
On February 23, the Kiwanis Club presented Berry with $50 and a certificate commemorating her achievement. Tori's parents, John and Barbara Berry-Spaeth, Nally, and Assistant Principal Dion Reyes joined the Kiwanians in recognizing Berry's' accomplishments. The Mason Kiwanis Club meets weekly at noon at the Houston Restaurant in Mason.
