586 MHS Students Earn Perfect Attendance: 12 MHS Students Awarded GCCU Cash

586 MHS Students Earn Perfect Attendance: 12 MHS Students Awarded GCCU CashDuring Mason High School’s first semester, 586 students were at school every day and earned a chance to win cash from the Greater Cincinnati Credit Union. This marks the twelfth year that GCCU has sponsored the Perfect Attendance Program at MHS. Russ Henry from GCCU presented $100 to each of the honorees. The company donates $1,200 each semester for twelve students who maintain perfect attendance. GCCU also provides lunch to the winners and their guests during the awards ceremony, which was held on Monday, December 3.


The second semester’s twelve GCCU winners were freshmen Matthew Brown, Ryan Buchko, and Jacob Kraimer, sophomores Aaron Derrick, Rachel Hart, and Felix Santa Lopez, juniors Garlyn Abba, Anna Fusion, and Aidan Hertelendy, and seniors Katelyn DeBord, Dawson Flake, and Dylan Jiao. Also present to congratulate the students and their parents were MHS Principal Bobby Dodd, Assistant Principal Brandon Rompies and Guidance Counselor Phyllis Bell.
 Present, too, were Representatives from Warren County Juvenile Court, Truancy Probation Officer Jason Byrge and Truancy Program Coordinator Melissa Perduk. Also in attendance were Mason Campus Safety Officers (SRO) Shawn Ayers and Karli Dyer.
